I am a Saskatoon-based visual artist. I am interested in a variety of media and techniques, having explored drawing, painting, writing and printmaking. My work has a naive esthetic with a reference to folk art. With my sight set on ego, celebrity, and melodrama, I infuse my artwork with humor and satire.

I like to use recognizable people from Saskatoon in my work to engage local audiences and root my work in this distinct geographical area and community. Also I feel the local subject matter pairs well with the folk esthetic, when viewed by an audience unfamiliar with this part of Canada. I hope to use pre-conceived ideas of Saskatchewn as a reference point where unfamiliar people can begin to explore our social situations and familiar people can see themselves in a humorous or satirical light.
